The single best way of getting more people aware of what is going on is
shout at them
to talk with them. Doh! Find out what they know, what they don’t. They’ll have perspectives you could learn from, and probably have “obvious” questions that you don’t know the answer to.
That’s fine, you don’t have to be a world expert. If you can’t find “the answer” on our website, or the Council‘s [yeah, good luck with that], then email us – firstname.lastname@example.org. We may know, but then again we might not! Either way, we’ll let you know.
The crucial thing is this – we need to build links between people who don’t always agree about everything. The act of having a conversation with someone is important. On its own it isn’t going to change the world. But without doing that, how can we begin to change the world?
By the way, we’re not opposed to tweeting and facebooking and so on – only if they replace face-to-face.
